Venue Accessibility Considerations

We’re committed to holding an event that feels safe, inclusive and accessible to all. We want to create the best experience for everyone attending PIEF2024. The following information will help you plan your PIEF2024 experience and answer questions you may have about accessibility.

If you need assistance whilst attending PIEF2024, you can contact us in the following ways:

  • By scanning the QR code located on the back of your lanyard

You can also look out for members of our PIEF2024 team who’ll be easily identifiable at the conference.


Perth Crown Complex is an accessible venue to all visitors. They offer lift or ramp access to the conference rooms and all three Crown Perth hotels.

They are committed to ensuring their complex is accessible to everyone visiting Crown Perth by providing the following facilities:

·       92 accessible parking bays

·       Accessible hotel rooms at all three Crown Perth hotels

·       Lift or ramp access to all venues

·       Accessible toilets, some with automatic doors

·       Changing Places accessible adult changing facility

·       Pool hoist at Crown Towers and Crown Metropol lagoon pools


Car parking


There are 92 designated accessible parking spaces located on the venue, this parking is available in P1, P3, P4, P6, P8 and in the multi storey car park, subject to availability. Vehicles must display a valid accessible parking permit.


Changing places and accessible toilets

In addition to accessible toilets throughout the complex, Crown Perth now houses a registered Changing Places facility.

Changing Places is a worldwide standard that helps provide suitable facilities for people who cannot use standard accessible toilets. Changing Places offers additional features including an adult-size height adjustable change table, privacy screen, peninsular toilet, ceiling hoist and extra-wide automatic doors.

This facility is located within the Crown Metropol foyer and has 24-hour access for patrons with their own MLAK key.

Cashless payments 

The venue offers cashless payments at many of its facilities, but there are ATM’s available as well, two being quite close to Crown Promenade.


Transport to/from Perth Crown Complex


Access to the venue from across Perth using public transport can be via bus or train, with bus stops in both directions located outside the venue, and the Burswood train station located a short distance away (a shuttle bus is available during the conference between 9am & 7:55pm.


Taxis and Uber are available to and from the venue, with the taxi rank located at the Riverside entrance. 


There are also hundreds of car parking options located across the venue, including free parking in P3, P6, and P8. Valet passes are also available at $75 per day.
