2024 PIEF National conference & Awards

The PIEF National Conference and Excellence in Personal Injury & Disability Management Awards for 2024 will be held in Perth in October, 2024.

Our previous event, held in August 2023 in Adelaide attracted hundreds of delegates from all across the country, and again from New Zealand. It provided an opportunity to showcase initiatives that have achieved exceptional outcomes and industry best practice in motor accident (compulsory third party), workers’ compensation, disability and life insurance sectors.

The 2023 theme was ‘The Future of Work’ and included a series of plenary sessions that focussed on the following four key themes:

  Mental Health
  Capability and Professional Standards
  Attraction and Retention
•  Innovation and Artificial Intelligence

We also welcomed two exceptional keynote speakers,  Dr Ben Hamer & Dr Jordan Nguyen, both of whom left us feeling inspired, and in awe of the impact they are having in our community and the wider world.

We enjoyed seeing you all come together, to collaborate, to share and to network with industry peers and colleagues over the two days.

Aside from these sessions, we were also able to celebrate the achievements of our colleagues and friends at The Excellence in Personal Injury and Disability Management Awards Gala Dinner.

An amazing night was had, with great food, fantastic entertainment, and of course the culmination of the awards process, seeing our amazing finalists receive their well-deserved awards. You can find the list of finalists on the Awards page link.

A huge thank you again must go out to all of our Sponsors, who really came to the party in terms of supporting the PIEF National Summit & Awards.

Acknowledging Diversity

When planning the 2023 PIEF National Summit & Awards, we wanted to include and acknowledge some amazing people who have lived experience of disability.

We approached Tutti Arts, a South Australian multi-arts organisation where learning disabled and neurodiverse artists create art. They introduced us to the incredibly talented and creative Jackie Saunders, a Ngarrindjeri and Wirangu artist, whose artistry is beyond captivating.

We hope you were as impressed as us with Jackie’s artwork, celebrating her rich cultural heritage, and bringing attention to the Summit’s four sub-themes – Mental Health, Capability and Professional Standards, Attraction and Retention, and Innovation and Artificial Intelligence. Jackie’s creations serve as powerful reminders of the impact of art in sparking change and fostering connections between communities.

We’d like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Jackie and the fantastic team at Tutti for their invaluable contribution to the PIEF National Summit and Awards.

Together, let’s continue amplifying the voices and stories of Indigenous and disabled artists, celebrating their extraordinary talents and preserving their cultural legacy!
